Creating a Course
Creating your first course in FeatureBench is easy. Fill out 3 fields, and your course is ready to go.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, you’ll need to have a few ducks in a row:
- A FeatureBench account (create one here)
- A course name and abbreviation (often a title and acronym)
- You have picked a billing scheme for your course.
Billing Schemes
We understand that you may have a variety of needs when it comes to billing for your course. Some courses and instructors may choose to pay for their course at no cost to students, and some may choose to have thier students pay for their own enrollment in FeatureBench.
The billing schemes have the exact same features and behaviors: they merely change the course creation and enrollment processes.
Per-course billing will require you (the instructor) to provide credit card information when creating the course. Students will be able to enroll in one tap, and FeatureBench will bill the card on file for the enrollment. Per-course billing costs you $12 per student for the semester, but does not cost your students anything.
Per-student billing will not require you to have a credit card on file, but will require your students to provide their own payment information while enrolling in the course. Per-student billing costs your students $20 per student for the semester, but does not cost you anything.
Accessing the course
Once you’ve created your course, you’ll be redirected to the course dashboard. Anytime in the future you want to access your course, you will be able to access it from your FeatureBench homepage.
You will be given 2 access codes once your course is created: a student code and a teacher code. Read more about these codes and how to enroll in a course here
